The BBC has announced that next year's series of 'The Apprentice' will not be broadcast until the summer.
The series was originally set to run for three months from March.
However, the show is being put back until the summer to avoid a clash with the general election in Britain and will now compete against the last series of 'Big Brother' in the TV ratings.
Following 'The Apprentice' star Alan Sugar's appointment as an enterprise advisor to the British government, the BBC Trust, the broadcaster's governing body, ruled that he could continue to front the reality show but that the new series should not be broadcast in the lead-up to a general election.
The series will now begin after 3 June, the last possible date for the election.
