It has been revealed that one of the popular characters on TG4's 'Ros na Rún' will be killed off in a "gruesome Christmas murder".
A special, two-part episode of the Irish language soap on Tuesday, 22 December and Thursday, 24 December will feature a storyline involving "kidnap, blackmail and violence".

In the climax of the storyline in the Christmas Eve episode one of the show's popular characters will be murdered.
Commenting, Hugh Farley, Series Producer of 'Ros na Rún', said: "This is 'Ros na Rún' as you've never seen it before. It's gritty, bloody and downright gory.
"It was a massive undertaking to stage these episodes and we've all had an education in the use of prosthetic blood but it will pay off when viewers tune in on Christmas Eve for the end result."
