Heidi Range has insisted that Sugababes are "definitely not splitting up" following recent news that Amelle Berrabah is taking a break from the band.
She told BBC Radio One's Newsbeat that the recent lineup change, in which Jade Ewen replaced Keisha Buchanan, resulted in Berrabah suffering from nervous exhaustion.
She said: "Things went on a few months ago within the group and that was really hard for Amelle. It's been a tough time for everyone but particularly for Amelle.
"Obviously there's been a lineup change in the group and that's something that we're really happy with. Jade's a lovely girl and she's really talented and that's all great."
Range, who is now the longest-serving member of the group, promised that the group had no plans of parting ways.
She added: "I know I 100% want to be in the band, and Jade does and Amelle does and we all want the same thing, so we're definitely not splitting up.
"Amelle wants to be in the band more than ever. When she's feeling better we'll be cracking on."
Despite having no contact with Buchanan since her ousting last month, the 26-year-old added that she believed it was the right decision.
"At the end of the day I've got nothing to hide. Through the whole lineup change and everything else I know that I made the right decision morally and I can live with a clear conscience."
Sugababes are expected to release new single 'About a Girl' on 9 November, ahead of the release of their album 'Sweet 7' on 26 November.
