Singer Beyoncé Knowles has said that she was "shocked" when Kanye West stormed the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards.
West interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech during the ceremony to say that Beyoncé should have won the award for Best Female Video.
Speaking about the incident, she said: "Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art.
"He told me before, when they said the nominees, he was like, 'You have this award'.
"And when they didn't call my name he was, like, completely shocked.
"When he walked on the stage, I was like, 'No, no, no!' Then he spoke, and I was like, 'Oh, no, no, no!'
"It ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment - and I didn't have to make an acceptance speech!"
