Former 'Coronation Street' star Sean Wilson has received widespread acclaim in the UK for his new venture, a cheese company.

Clitheroe Today reports that the actor, who played Martin Platt in the soap, set up the Saddleworth Cheese Company 18 months ago.

Wilson makes a range of artisan Lancashire cheeses, which include Muldoon's Picnic, Smelly Ha'peth, How's Your Father and Shanks Pony.

Three of Wilson's creations have won awards at the British Cheese Awards.
