'Grey’s Anatomy' star Ellen Pompeo has given birth to her first baby, a girl, according to reports.
People says the actress, who plays Meredith Grey on the hit medical drama series, welcomed the baby girl are September 15.
Pompeo and her husband, music producer, Chris Ivery, have named the baby Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery.
Pompeo is not the only Grey’s star getting to know a new addition as her co-star Katherine Heigl and her husband recently adopted a 10-month-old baby girl called Naleigh.
As two of the show's stars are on maternity leave the series is set to change structure slightly with more episodes dedicated to a single character.
