'Hollyoaks' star Ricky Whittle has revealed that he is eagerly awaiting his 'Strictly Come Dancing' debut.
He recently emerged as the new bookies' favourite to win the TV dance competition following a flurry of bets.
The actor, best known for his role as Calvin Valentine on the teen soap, will perform the waltz and the rumba with his professional dance partner Natalie Lowe later this week.
Whittle and Lowe have so far only been seen taking part in an unmarked group dance in the contest.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, he commented: "The rumba is a very sexy dance with two lovers at the centre of its story and I'm really looking forward to performing it.
"I've heard it being described as a vertical enactment of a horizontal desire, which just about sums it up."
