Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has revealed that she wants the soap's writers to continue exploring her character's softer side.
The 30-year-old actress told the Press Association that she was thrilled when she heard her scheming alter-ego Cindy Cunningham would have emotional moments in the 'Hollyoaks Later' spinoff.
She said: "It's really fun to play the comedy and the manipulative bitch, but for me personally I feel more at home doing the drama - so it was really nice to get scripts again that show that".
She added: "As much as I love doing the comedy, this is where I feel at home so I'm hoping there is more to come."
'Hollyoaks Later' will see the climax of golddigger Cindy's plot to cheat Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) out of his fortune.
The programme's new run launches with the first of five one-hour episodes on 28 September.
