Suranne Jones has said it's unlikely she'll go back to 'Coronation Street' to reprise her role as Karen McDonald.
With the soap set to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, rumours have swirled as to which old favourites will make a re-appearance in the soap.
But when asked if she would ever go back, Suranne said: "Probably not."
She went on: "I speak to Simon (Gregson) all the time and on my phone it comes up as Steve McDonald! I miss the people that I was friends with but I don't think Karen will be coming back."
The 30-year-old explained that, although she misses her pals, she doesn't miss the "scheduling and the hard work".
Earlier this year, Katherine Kelly, who plays Steve's new wife Becky, told how she and Suranne were keen to appear on the soap together to film a catfight.
Suranne said: "I think Kate Kelly's brilliant. I know her quite well off screen - we drink together. It's funny when we're in the pub together and people go 'Oh my God, it's Karen and Becky together!'"
