In the past Jack, played by Billy Tarmey, has been one of Corrie's biggest Romeos however in a new storyline, the 75-year-old widower takes fright at the prospect of becoming amorous with Connie (Rita May).
According to The Sun Jack, who is moving out of the Street to be with Connie, confesses she has been lurking outside his bedroom door like a "lioness waiting to pounce".
In scenes to be aired this autumn, Jack, tells Tyrone Dobbs: "I reckon she's angling for a fair bit more than companionship - and I'm not sure I'm capable of giving it to her."
In one scene, viewers see Jack reading in bed when he hears footsteps outside his door. Panicking, he quickly turns out the light and pretends to snore!
