This weekend sees that start of a new dramatised tale for Children of all ages on the RTÉ digital radio channel, RTÉ Junior.
'The Remarkable Adventures of Spike the Hedgehog' is a 12-parter which begins on Sunday, 13 September at 11am. It is written and narrated by Sinead McClure and takes Spike on a wildlife adventure in which he has to find a hair from every land mammal in Co Mayo.
Steve Dunford plays the lead role of the plucky Spike who is assisted by Terry McDonagh who plays his friend and mentor, Hook the Owl.
RTÉ Junior is broadcast every day from 7am to 9pm and offers a wide selection of music, stories and books for children of all ages.
