'Coronation Street' bosses are reportedly secretly planning to salvage Kerry Katona’s career.
The Daily Star claims that soap bosses are set to offer the scandal-hit star the part of a mouthy new battleaxe they want to move into Weatherfield.
The apparently believe Katona would be perfect for the new fiery character.
But her chances of landing the part could hinge on whether the mum-of-four is charged after her bust-up with her accountant last week.
Katona is on police bail after being arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and a public order offence after the alleged attack.
A video of Katona allegedly taking drugs in her home were published by the News of the World newspaper in recent weeks and the star has been cautioned by police on suspicion of possessing cocaine.
She also recently lost a lucrative advertising deal with the frozen food chain, Iceland.
