X-Factor host Dermot O'Leary is defending his name after being accused of using a stage name.
Born Sean O'Leary to Wexford-born parents Sean and Marie, he insists that his chosen name, Dermot, is his middle name and not a stage name.
Speaking to The Star he said: "People actually think I've chosen Dermot as a stage name, which I resent. It's my middle name."
