Peter Andre is in talks with TV producers to return to the jungle for this year's series of 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'
According to the Daily Mail his anticipated return will come five years after he met Katie Price on the reality show.
The singer, 36, is said to be returning to the Australian camp to mend his broken heart following his split with Price.
However psychologists have warned revisiting a place with so many emotional memories could do more harm than good to the singer.
He is in 'advanced talks' to do 'something very special' for this year's series which hits screens in November.
One insider said: "It’s all up in the air at the moment. But it’s very exciting.
"It’s going to be a ratings winner. The public loves Peter and they’d love nothing more than to see him back in the jungle. He might even find a new love."
However psychologist Jo Hemmings fears the trip could be a disastrous way for Pete to recover from his split from Price, 31:
"Peter obviously has a yearning to go back to where his happiness began.
"He is eager to take a journey back to the beginning, as he feels this will cast out the final demons of his volatile and troubled marriage.
"But it could be a serious error of judgment. He will encounter so many reminders of falling in love with Kate that it will dredge up all sorts of unwelcome memories that could find him slipping back into emotional fragility."
