Paula Abdul has said that while she is in talks to reprise her role as a judge on 'American Idol', she will only return if she gets a "fair" deal.
Access Hollywood reports that in a Twitter post to her fans, Abdul said: "Hi everyone. I've been quiet as we are trying to work out details of how I can return to Idol."
She continued: "Your support and encouragement means so much to me. I hope you understand I can only return to Idol if the deal is fair."
Abdul's fellow judge Simon Cowell is in negotiations to renew his contract; their colleague Randy Jackson is committed to the show until 2011.
E! Online quotes an unnamed source as saying that fourth judge Kara DioGuardi has agreed a deal to return to the show.
