Television stars have offered words of congratulations to Holly Willoughby after it was announced yesterday that she would replace Fern Britton on 'This Morning'.
Speaking about Willoughby's appointment, television presenter Eamonn Holmes said: "Holly was our hope right from the start. We think she'll surprise a lot of people."
Fellow presenter Ruth Langsford said: "She's a smart girl with a great personality and lots of empathy, and it makes for a nicely balanced team throughout the week."
Willoughby's new co-host Phillip Schofield said: "Holly is a massive fan of the show, a brilliant broadcaster, a fun person to be with and she proved on the morning she spent here filling in for Fern that as presenter, she completely understands the programme."
Willoughby said of her new job: "'This Morning' has always been the ultimate dream job for me."
