Emmerdale factory worker, Lexi King, played by Sally Oliver, is heading for a nervous breakdown.
According to the Sun, Lexi, still traumatised over the loss of her own baby, snatches Nicola De Souza's newborn.
In the dramatic scenes, which will air next month, mum Nicola (played by Nicola Wheeler) tries desperately to reason with Lexi, who has climbed to the top of an office block with the infant.
Last month pregnant Lexi lost her baby and was told she'd never be able to have children. After seeing Nicola struggle with motherhood, Lexi decides to take matters into her own hands.
