The exact cause of Michael Jackson's death may be revealed this week when toxicology reports on the star's body are released, an LA coroner has said.
Sky news reports that Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said the results of some tests to determine what substances Jackson had in his body when he died are already in.
The remaining results are expected at the end of this week or early next week.
Mr Winter said his office would announce when all the tests are done and publicly release the results the next day.
Jackson, 50, died on June 25 after suffering an apparent heart attack at his rented mansion in an up-market suburb of Los Angeles.
Authorities are investigating claims the pop star consumed large quantities of prescription medications leading up to his death.
A powerful sedative Diprivan, normally only administered in hospitals, was among the drugs found in his home.
Meanwhile, the King of Pop's father Joe Jackson has slammed Jackson's tour managers for the gruelling 50-date schedule drawn up for his son's comeback.
He said the star was not capable of completing the series of sold-out concerts and had been pressured into it.
In an interview with ABC News, Mr Jackson, 79, said: "Michael only agreed to 10 shows. Then they went and added all these shows."
Mr Jacksons said he had been harbouring concerns about the London tour, which was due to get underway in London on 13 July.
He said: "I was worried about his health because all the shows I'm seeing, no artist can do all those shows, back-to-back like that.
"I knew Michael couldn't do all those shows without a rest in between."
