Production on 'ER' star Maura Tierney's new series 'Parenthood' has been postponed because the actress is undergoing a "medical evaluation".
In a statement, the makers of the show, NBC, said: "The top priority for NBC, Universal Media Studios and Imagine Television is the well-being of Ms Tierney. We are unable to release further details, and ask that you respect her privacy at this time."
'Parenthood' is a reworking of the Steve Martin-starring film of the same name, with Tierney set to play one of four adult siblings, Sarah Braverman.
Production has been postponed until late September.
