Actor George Clooney has announced his latest film project which is set to boost the economy of L’Aquila in Italy.
People reports that on Thursday the actor visited the city which was devastated in April by a earthquake which left more than 300 people dead.
Speaking to journalists in the city he said he planned to help the local economy by shooting a movie there.
He said "We'll shoot a film here at the end of September, in which I will act. I think this is the best way to lend a hand and boost the economy."
Clooney did not mention the name of the film project. The actor spends a lot of his time in Italy at his home near Lake Como.
Fellow actor Bill Murray also visited the site yesterday.
