'Coronation Street's David Platt is reportedly set to be viciously beaten up in the coming weeks.
According to The Sun, David, played by actor Jack P Shepherd, is left bleeding and unconscious in a back alley after the serious assault.
There are a number of suspects in the frame after the attack as David's list of enemies includes Jason Grimshaw, Tina McIntyre, Joe McIntyre and the Windass family.
A 'Coronation Street' source reportedly said: "David's assailant will be kept a closely-guarded secret."
"Apart from Joe and Jason, Len could very well be the violent attacker or Tina may just have had enough of David's antics. Or could it be someone else?"
Singer Noel Gallagher previously said that he would love to star in the show as David Platt's attacker.
Gallagher said: "I could just have a walk-on part. A little, tiny part. Preferably punching David Platt's face in."
