In a case of art imitating life, 'Home And Away' is about to be plunged into a sex-tape scandal.
Sky news Australia reports that the storyline will air next week in Australia, after a sex tape featuring the characters Trey and Nicole, played by Luke Bracey and Tessa James, is leaked to the public at the Summer Bay Film Festival.
The fictional situation comes just a matter of weeks after Home And Away pin-up Lincoln Lewis who plays Geoff Campbell in the soap, was disciplined after showing a sex tape of himself and a teen starlet to cast and crew of the soap, the Herald Sun reports.
The footage caused uproar and scandalised the wholesome image of the show. It has since been deleted.
The fictional storyline, with its eerie similarity to the show's real life drama, was filmed several months ago.
Despite the art-imitating-life scenario, Seven has decided not to cut the storyline.
"Like all successful dramas, 'Home And Away' tackles many issues, and this is one of them," a Seven spokeswoman told News Limited.
