The singer and DJ Sonique is being treated for breast cancer.
The 40-year-old, whose real name is Sonia Clarke, underwent an operation at a clinic in Harley Street, London yesterday.
The Daily Mail quotes a spokesperson for the star as saying that Sonique discovered she had the disease last Tuesday and is receiving urgent treatment.
The Ivor Novello and BRIT Award winner is expected to remain at the clinic until Saturday at the earliest.
