Patsy Kensit says her Holby City character's wedding will keep fans on the edge of their seats.
The actress's soap alter ego Faye Morton will tie the knot with Joseph Byrne (Luke Roberts) in a stately home in the episode tonight (Tuesday).
Patsy said: "It's an edge of your seat episode - it's packed, it's a jam-packed hour."
Not wanting to give too much away about the aftermath of the nuptials, she added: "It's not plain sailing."
Speaking to PA, Roberts says: "It's fraught with twists and turns, scarlet dresses and excitement, inappropriate kisses and blasts from the past - danger, infidelity, wrongness."
The actor described the characters as "twisted", and went on: "I think they're quite interesting, they're relatively deep characters. They have a lot of layers and certainly a lot of fun to play - and interesting. They certainly have their own chemistry as a couple, but they both have very dark pasts and difficulties."
While Faye and Joseph get hitched, life at Holby must go on, as Roberts explains: "There's another story - we're introducing two new doctors to the hospital at the same time."
Kensit added: "That's what's going on at the hospital - while we're in this beautiful stately home getting married."
The Holby City wedding episode is on BBC One on June 9.
