With auditions for the ninth series of 'American Idol' due to begin in the US on Sunday, judge Paula Abdul has said that she still does not know if she will be back on the show.
MTV News reports that during an interview on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' the host teased the singer by saying that she would not be returning to 'American Idol'.
Abdul replied: "I never said that. I just said that I'm not sure."
She then explained that she was involved in contract discussions.
"I love my job," said Abdul. "I do. I feel that I've had a really wonderful journey with the show. It's called 'negotiating'."
