Colin Farrell is preparing to celebrate with his brother, Eamon, when he marries his partner, Steven Mannion, later this year.
According to The Irish Independent Eamon was speaking at his partner's art exhibition at Dublin's Oriel gallery: "I can't wait to marry him, he is the most wonderful, happy person. He is always so full of positive energy."
However he added: "We have to get married abroad. It's absolutely terrible. We have to go somewhere legal, which narrows it down to about five countries.
"I want to be able to get married. The government's paper on civil unions is only for gay people. If you're straight, you can't have one. So that's not fair either."
He added: "If you want a civil union you should be able to do it, if I want to get married I should be able to do it."
Asked whether his famous brother would be best man, Eamon explained: "I have two sisters and one brother [Colin] so we don't know about bridesmaids and bestmen yet - maybe we won't have any. Who knows?"
One thing the professional choreographer is certain of is that they will not be selling the rights to their big day: "We definitely won't be doing a magazine deal. Are you kidding? Oh my God, I'd be mortified. Colin is famous, I'm not."
