Following much speculation in the press, 'Transformers' star Shia LaBeouf has confirmed that he went on a date with singer Rihanna two years ago.
MTV News reports that in an interview in the June issue of Playboy magazine, LeBeouf explains how he was contacted by the singer.
LaBeouf says: "[I was] filming a sword fight when I got the message. I said: 'Can this be my life?'"
The two then arranged a date via text message.
But he adds: "It never got beyond one date. The spark wasn't there. We weren't passionate about each other in that way, so we remain friends."
When asked about other stars he finds attractive, LaBeouf reveals: "Ellen Page, Evan Rachel Wood, Camilla Belle, Kristen Stewart from 'Twilight'. The best of the bunch is Amber Tamblyn, from the 'Sisterhood of Traveling Pants' movies."
