Vogue editor Anna Wintour asked Oprah Winfrey to lose weight before featuring on the cover of the magazine.
According to US Magazine, Wintour revealed that she asked the talk show host to lose 20 pounds before featuring on the cover of Vogue back in 1998.
In an interview with 60 Minutes, she said: "It was a very gentle suggestion. I went to Chicago to visit Oprah, and I suggested that it might be an idea that she lose a little bit of weight.
"I said simply that you might feel more comfortable. She was a trooper!"
Speaking about Winfrey's response she added: "She totally welcomed the idea, and she went on a very stringent diet."
Wintour 59, featured Winfrey, 55 on the cover with the tag 'Oprah! A Major Movie, An Amazing Makeover' and said that: "It was one of our most successful covers ever."
