Singer Kylie Minogue has revealed that she would love to have a proper film career.
Reuters reports that in an interview to promote her first US tour, Minogue said that her dream would be for a director to create a role for her the way Nick Cave did for their duet 'Where the Wild Roses Grow' and the video which accompanied the song.
She said: "[Cave] saw me in a totally different way, believed in me and had this idea and a vision for a number of years before he contacted me and we worked together and it was just absolutely perfect.
"My daytime fantasy is that there is a director somewhere who will be thinking that kind of way but putting it into the context of the film.
"I would love to do more movies. I really got waylaid and sidetracked. I started out as an actress and I thought that's what I would do."
Minogue's film credits include 'The Delinquents', 'Street Fighter', 'Bio Dome', 'Moulin Rouge!' and the voice of Florence in the film version of 'The Magic Roundabout'.
