'EastEnders' was named Best Soap at the British Soap Awards in London on Saturday night - the second year in succession that the BBC series has won the award.

On the night, 'EastEnders' was honoured with seven awards, one more than 'Coronation Street'.

The Best Actor award went to Robert Kazinsky for his portrayal of Sean Slater in 'EastEnders', while co-star Scott Maslen (Jack Branning) was named Sexiest Male.

There were two awards for 'EastEnders' star Nina Wadia (Zainab Masood): she won the Best Comedy Performance award and shared the Best On-Screen Partnership with Nitin Ganatra, who plays her husband Masood Ahmed in the soap.

The award for Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor went to Maisie Smith, who plays Tiffany Dean in 'EastEnders', while co-star Barbara Windsor was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.

'Coronation Street' star Katherine Kelly (Becky Granger) was named Best Actress, while her co-star Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) won the Sexiest Female award.

Craig Gazey, who plays Graeme Proctor in 'Coronation Street', won the Best Newcomer award, with co-star Gray O'Brien (Tony Gordon) winning the award for Best Villain.

The Best Exit award went to Rob James-Collier (Liam Connor) for his departure from 'Coronation Street', while one of the show's writers, Peter Whalley, was honoured with the Achievement award.

There were three awards for 'Doctors': Best Dramatic Performance for actress Anita Carey (Vivien March), Best Single Episode and Best Storyline.

The Spectacular Scene award went to 'Emmerdale' for Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) falling through ice.
