Russell Brand is set to star in a remake of the 1991 Phoebe Cates and Rik Mayall comedy 'Drop Dead Fred'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the original film told the story of a wallflower (Cates) who loses her husband and her job and is reunited with her imaginary childhood friend (Mayall), who causes more chaos in her life.
The remake will be in the tone of 'Beetlejuice' and feature a host of imaginary friends, with Brand the ringleader.
