US television network ABC is in talks to commission a ninth series of the medical comedy 'Scrubs'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that if a deal is reached, some of the original cast members could return on a full or part-time basis.
The creator of 'Scrubs', Bill Lawrence, "is said to be deeply involved in the renewal talks as well as in the discussions with the cast, who don't have deals beyond the show's current eighth season".
'Scrubs' star Zach Braff, who had said the eighth series of the show would probably be his last, is in talks to return as a recurring character.
