Soul singer and 'No 1 Ladies Detective Agency' star Jill Scott and her fiancé John Roberts are celebrating the birth of their first child together.
The Associated Press reports that the couple's son, Jett Hamilton Roberts, was born on Monday, weighing 7 pounds, 8 ounces.
Scott and Roberts announced their engagement last June.
They began going out together in 2007.
