Russell Brand returned to radio recently and during his show left a prank voicemail message for American President Barack Obama.

According to Now he co-presented the show, TalkSport, with his friend, Oasis star Noel Gallagher, 41.

Brand, 33, rang the White House while on air to try to ask US President Barack, 47, if he supports West Ham football team.

He said on the voicemail: "Dear Barack Obama, we are calling you to find out if you are in fact the world’s most famous West Ham supporter, as it’s claimed."

He added: "I haven’t ever seen you at Upton Park. And what formation do you suggest [manager] Gianfranco Zola plays?"

The comedian quit his BBC Radio 2 show in October after being criticised over prank calls he made to actor Andrew Sachs.
