Killinaskully up for Monte Carlo Awards

The stars of the RTÉ comedy series 'Killinaskully' and the restaurant drama 'Raw' are among the nominees for the 49th Monte Carlo Television Awards.

'Killinaskully' star Pat Shortt has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Actor – Comedy award and his co-star, Maria McDermottroe, is among the Outstanding Actress - Comedy nominees.

Shortt is also nominated in the Outstanding International Producer – Comedy category along with fellow 'Killinaskully' producer Brian Kelly.

'Raw' star Keith McErlean has been nominated for Outstanding Actor – Drama, while his co-star, Charlene McKenna, is shortlisted for the Outstanding Actress – Drama award.

The producer of 'Raw', Michael Parke, is nominated for two awards: Outstanding International Producer and Outstanding European Producer.

Other Irish nominees for this year's awards include actors Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Peter O'Toole and Maria Doyle Kennedy for their work on 'The Tudors', 'The IT Crowd' and 'FM' star Chris O'Dowd, 'The IT Crowd' producer Graham Linehan and 'The Tudors' producer Morgan O'Sullivan.

The Monte Carlo Television Awards will take place from 7 to 11 June.
