Actress Anne Charleston has spoken about her decision to quit 'Emmerdale', saying that she feels it is the right time to move on.
According to Inside Soap, the 66-year-old Australian actress, who plays Edna Birch's sister Lily Butterfield in the soap, will remain on screen until July of this year.
Speaking about her decision to leave 'Emmerdale', Charleston said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed playing Lily for the last couple of years, but have agreed with the producers that the time is right for me to move on."
"I have a couple of new projects in the pipeline which I'm looking forward to enormously."
