Hatcher says co-star should get Emmy nod

'Desperate Housewives' star Teri Hatcher has said that she thinks that her co-star Nicollette Sheridan should be nominated for an Emmy award.

According to People magazine, Hatcher said of Sheridan, who is leaving the show: "She will be missed."

"I feel really grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her."

Speaking about Sheridan's departure, she said: "My understanding is that she is excited about the new adventures upcoming in her life. I feel that she deserves all the honour and respect in the world."

In Sheridan's final episode in the show, her character Edie's friends will look back on her life.

Hatcher said: "It was a fabulously written episode. She should get nominated for an Emmy."
