Steve Carell, the star of the American version of 'The Office', is to play the lead role in a new comedy called 'Dumped'.
Variety reports that the film follows the trials and tribulations of a man after his wife suddenly files for divorce.
Carell is planning to produce the film through his company Carousel Production.
He will next be seen on cinema screens opposite '30 Rock' star Tina Fey in the comedy 'Date Night'.
