'ER' star Maura Tierney has joined the cast of the pilot episode of 'Parenthood', the new series based on the Steve Martin film of the same name.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Tierney will play Sarah Braverman, a single mother, with Mae Whitman playing her rebellious 16-year-old daughter.
The cast of the planned series also includes Peter Krause, Dax Shepard and Craig T Nelson.
