Long-running 'Coronation Street' star Sally Whittaker said she believed the cast had "turned a corner" after the tragedies which hit the show earlier this year.
The actress, who plays mother-of-two Sally Webster, said actor Bill Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, had found solace in his faith since the unexpected death of his wife Sara.
Mrs Roache died at the couple's home on 7 February.
Five days later Kym Marsh, who plays barmaid Michelle Connor, suffered the loss of her baby son Archie, who died shortly after he was born 18 weeks prematurely.
