Jade Goody died in her sleep at home last night having battled cancer for the past few months.
The reality television star's publicist Max Clifford made the announcement early today.
In the final weeks of her life, she told OK! magazine that she would like to be remembered as a ‘mouthy bird... The one who irritated and entertained people in equal measure’.

Despite coming from humble beginnings and occasionally displaying a staggering lack of knowledge, the former dental nurse became the most famous reality contestant to come out of the UK's Big Brother house.
While Goody did not win Big Brother 3, she was in the house long enough for her nature and malapropisms to generate public affection.
Many Big Brother contestants, especially those who do not win, have disappeared back into obscurity, never to be heard of again.
But last year, Goody's fortune was estimated to be worth STG£2 million, and the media deals she has done which saw the last weeks of her life in the public eye have been put at another STG£1 million.
Goody told OK!: ‘I've achieved more in 27 years than some achieve in their lifetime.
‘I could bitch about dying young, but at the end of the day, I can look back on my life and be proud of what I have done.’
