Jade Goody’s condition is reported to have deteriorated over the weekend.

"She has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way," her friend and publicist Max Clifford said. "Now we're waiting for the inevitable, it could be at any time, we just don't know."

Yesterday, the former Big brother contestant was visited at her home in Upshire, Essex, by her young sons, Bobby, five, and Freddy, four.

Although she was under sedation and spent much of Saturday and Sunday sleeping, she was "briefly conscious" during their visit, according to Mr Clifford.

Goody's mother Jackiey Budden and husband Jack Tweed were also at her bedside.

The family had been hoping for friends and loved ones to visit but the 27-year-old was not well enough.

Goody has told her sons, who are staying with their father, TV presenter Jeff Brazier, she will soon be in heaven. She spoke to them after coming home from hospital on Thursday, saying: "Mummy's going to heaven soon.

She has also made arrangements for her own funeral, which she hopes to be a "celebration" of her life. "She wants it to be a big celebration because it's her final farewell to everybody," Mr Clifford said.

Tweed, 21, was allowed to break his curfew to hurry to her side on Friday night after Goody was panicking and in pain.

Tweed has to wear a tag after his release from prison for hitting a teenager with a golf club. Under his bail conditions he must be at his mother Mary's house between 7pm and 7am. But officials have made special provisions so they can spend more time together.
