Fans of medical drama 'ER' are counting down to the reported return of George Clooney in tonight's episode on American television.
Last month People.com quoted an unnamed source as saying that Clooney's character, Doug Ross, would feature in the episode on 12 March, but TV network NBC has declined to comment.
Also reported to be appearing in tonight's episode are Clooney's former co-stars Juliana Margulies (Carol Hathaway), Eriq La Salle (Peter Benton) and Noah Wyle (John Carter) and guest star Susan Sarandon.
Clooney left 'ER' in 1999.
