The new Irish film 'The Eclipse' has been selected for the Tribeca Film Festival in New York next month.
Directed by Conor McPherson and co-written by McPherson and Billy Roche, 'The Eclipse' stars Ciarán Hinds and Aidan Quinn.
It is described as a supernatural love story which follows a widower who is haunted by nightmarish visions.
The film will compete in the World Narrative Feature Competition at the Festival.
'The Eclipse', which was shot in Cobh, Co Cork in September and funded by RTÉ, Bord Scannán na hEireann and the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland, will be screened on RTÉ One later in 2009.
