Daithí Ó Sé has said that he is "absolutely gutted" that his last act didn't make the final of 'The All-Ireland Talent Show'.

Speaking to RTÉ.ie after last night's live semi-final, Ó Sé said of his contestants Bernard and Eva Coyle: "I thought some of the judges were particularly hard on both of them."

"I thought they were fantastic and I thought the song was fantastic."

"I suppose I have to respect their comments and the votes of my other judges. We're all different... I still felt that they were really, really hard on them."

"I thought they were definitely the strongest act out there tonight without a shadow of a doubt. I thought they were brilliant."

"That's the way it is. I think it showed that the people at home really, really liked them from coming from the bottom place to get in there. So that really showed how much they appealed to everyone at home."

Bernard and Eva Coyle battled for the Wildcard spot with singer Toby Bedell, who was eventually selected as the judges' choice on the night.
