Chris Brown has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats against his girlfriend Rihanna, following an incident last month.
Reuters reports that the 19-year-old did not enter a plea at the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday; his arraignment was postponed until 6 April.
The judge issued an order barring Brown from "harassing, threatening or using force" against anyone.
However, he has not been ordered not to contact Rihanna, with whom he has reportedly reconciled.
Brown faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
Twenty-one-year-old Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was identified in the complaint only as 'Robyn F'; it is unclear if she will testify against Brown.
