Pop star Britney Spears kicked off her first tour in five years last night with a performance at the New Orleans Arena.
People.com reports that fans raved about the show which included pyrontechnics sending Twitter messages of support to the singer’s website.
Spears opened the 16-song set with her single 'Circus' at the start of the tour which will see her visit 32 cities.
At the end of the show which included performances of 'Toxic' and 'Baby One More Time' Britney blew the crowd and kiss and told them "You have a good night."
Last night marked a return to form for Spears whose personal issues have dominated the headlines in recent years.
