The Irish episode of 'The Simpsons', 'In the Name of the Grandfather', will receive its worldwide premiere on Sky1 and Sky1 HD on St Patrick's Day.

This is the first time an episode has been screened in Europe before the US and sees the Simpsons travelling to Ireland where a drunken Homer and Grandpa buy a pub.

Among the landmarks which feature in the episode are the Giant's Causeway, Blarney Castle and the Guinness Brewery, with Colm Meaney guest voicing the character of Tom O'Flanagan.

To mark the screening of the episode, 'The Simpsons' producers Al Jean and James L Brooks and voice star Nancy Cartwright (Bart Simpson, Nelson Muntz, Todd Flanders, Ralph Wiggum, Kearney) are coming to Ireland and will take part in the St Patrick's Festival, including the parade.
