Jade Goody is feeling "relieved" and has been "lifted" by messages of support following surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from her bowel.
According to the star's publicist, Max Clifford, the former 'Big Brother' star was in tears when she read some of the "hundreds and hundreds" of good wishes sent to her.
Speaking about her surgery, Clifford said: "She's very sore, very tender. But she's very relieved that they have managed to get rid of the lump in her bowel and clear the obstruction that has caused her so much pain over the last few weeks."
"She's looking forward to the new treatment she's starting this week."
Referring to messages of support sent to Goody, he said: "There were hundreds of hundreds. it was such a tremendous lift for her. She was in tears yesterday when we showed them to her."
