The assistant director of 'Terminator Salvation' has defended star Christian Bale after the actor unleashed an expletive-laden rant against one of the crew on the blockbuster.
Bruce Franklin told E! News that Bale's outburst happened because the actor was distracted during a scene.
Audio clips of the British star shouting at director of photography Shane Hurlbut have been circulated on the Internet in recent days.
Franklin said that Bale was a "consummate professional".
"If you are working in a very intense scene and someone takes you out of your groove - it was the most emotional scene in the movie - and for him to get stopped in the middle of it. He is very intensely involved in his character," Franklin said.
"He doesn't walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed."
Franklin added: "This was my second movie with Christian, and it has always been a good experience with him. He is so dedicated to the craft."
